Marcellas Reynolds shares tips & tricks to wearing black & white from Midnight Velvet.

I’m celebrity fashion stylist, Marcellas Reynolds from Midnight Velvet. What’s black, white and fabulous all over? You, in one of these dresses. From bold graphics to animal print. Look for a dress that’s got a little detail at the waist, like this color-blocking, which brings you in and is so slimming.

This super-modern, cross-over, geometric print skirt when paired with the perfect blouse, is one of my favorite looks and speaking of this blouse, perfect for black pants, perfect for skirts, and the perfect blouse for under a suit but if we’re talking white shirts, the cornerstone of every wardrobe, look for the new. We love the pleating at the waist which brings you in and we love the drama of this hem.

The backpack is back and what’s super-cool about this one is houndstooth and speaking of houndstooth, these gorgeous shooties and this graphic print bag are perfect with black and white and brilliant with color.

One of my favorite accessories is the Fedora and I love this one with bling.

The new shape in shoes, this gorgeous wedge with this super-cool ankle detail. I love this bootie. It’s perfect with jeans. It’s perfect with leggings. It’d be super-cute with skirts too.

And if you want to look oh-so-classic yet pulled together, the quilted bag is a must. Black and white is always right.

From Midnight Velvet, I’m Marcellas Reynolds.

I love Midnight Velvet clothes I am a plus size women. My husband was an assistant pastor in our church, but I was one who likes to be comfortable. I needed a suit after the death of the pastor, so I ordered a cream front zipper suit from Midnight velvet for the funeral. The suit was cream so I paired it with a gold hat, cream and gold trim shoes, and a cream handbag. Church members were so excited saying that I was looking like a pastors wife; because it was a rarity for me to dress up. But I must say I looked gorgeous even in my own eye sight.

I love midnight velvet clothing, l just don’t have the tall, thin, super model body. How do your clothes look on full figured (or real) women?

Thanks for the comment Cynthia! Our plus-size customers love our clothing just like you do! We haven’t had much success showcasing our clothing on plus-size models, but we love getting pics from our customers. We’re working on compiling an album of the pics we’ve received. We’ll showcase these soon! Thanks again for the comment!
